Do you desire better health?  Do you have a “healthy idol” that you secretly envy?  Can you picture an image of the “healthier you” that you may once have been, or would like to be?

The quest for well-being, which includes good health, is a “life long journey” not merely a destination. To improve your health is it important to learn as much as you can about well-being, and the factors that affect your body and health.  With this valuable information you can learn more about how to become proactive on your well-being journey, “stacking the odds” in your favour in terms of your overall health.

Do you have a plan in place to maintain your well-being through your life journey?  Although an important well-being factor, an exercise workout schedule is only one aspect of a wellness plan. Your body, and your day to day health, should warrant the same type of care, concern and attention as your retirement, investments, travel plans and vehicle maintenance.  Monitoring and addressing your day to day well-being will pay big dividends down the road in optimum health and wellness.

The “Health by Design Plan” was created to help you pilot your “life long journey” of well-being.  The “Seven Steps” provide you with valuable useable information and tools.  The steps also include worksheets and exercises which are intended to train you and your brain in a “particular way of thinking and acting”. The workbook is in essence, a well-being toolbox that you will be able to utilize on an ongoing basis throughout your life.  It is a place to keep important health information and will provide you ongoing assessment, action planning and support tools.  It will be a reference guide as you look back in future years for specific information on changes in your health.

Research has shown that personal drive, combined with enthusiastic and knowledgeable support can produce lasting and positive lifestyle change. Your active participation in the “Seven Steps” of the “Health by Design Well-being Plan” will greatly increase the likelihood of you achieving improved well-being.

As with any new venture or project, it is important to take it “one step at a time”.  Every day is a new opportunity to get back onto “the path to well-being”.  The road to well-being can often be bumpy and have many turns.  Along with the common pitfalls, you can also expect the occasional “one step forward and two steps back” analogy that is often a part of healing.  The ultimate goal is to keep moving forward on your “journey”, staying focused on your well-being goals not on the pitfalls.
